maria is the (p)art that flows with its own will, existing only in the letting go of our plans, in the daring to dance with (d)effects, to trust the unknown, and flirt with the unexpected. in this very place, where the (heart)age needed to be who one is dwells, it is possible to give life to what maria would love to be.

the three marias

“had I known I’d have three girls, I would have added Maria to their names.”

- [maria] mother

[maria] Lelia

the youngest of the Marias. Her art wanders between the world of fabrics and the world of words. She was the first to have the courage to be an artist.

[maria] Luiza

the oldest of the Marias (by 4 minutes of one and 363 days of the other). She uses art to know herself, and art uses her to see itself. In ceramics, she found a great teacher of time.

[maria] Ligia

the most organized (not to say the only one) of the trio. She is the force that makes plans come to life. The beauty of her art lies in the way she plays with variations of patterns created with crochet.
